On Tuesday, October 27, Rivne will bid farewell to fallen serviceman Andrii Chechetin. The soldier died on September 7, 2025, in the Donetsk region. He was 31 years old.
This was announced by the acting mayor of Rivne, Viktor Shakirian.
What is known about Andrii Chechetin
Andrii Chechetin was born on February 19, 1994, in Rivne. He studied at local school No. 25. After graduation, he worked in the construction sector.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Andrii joined the Rivne territorial defense. Later, he left the service and returned to civilian work.
In 2024, the man received a draft notice and joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He continued to defend the country during the full-scale war.
On September 7, 2025, Andrii Chechetin was killed in the Donetsk region. The serviceman was 31 years old.
The fallen defender is survived by his mother.

The farewell to the defender will take place on Tuesday, October 27, at 10:00 at the Intercession Cathedral (Sviato-Pokrovskyi Sobor) in Rivne.
Andrii Chechetin will be buried at the "Nove" cemetery, in the Alley of Heroes.
