Tsyr is a river in Volyn Polissia, on which Kamin-Kashyrskyi stands. It originates near the village of Yalovatsk, flows north, and passes into the old channel of the Prypiat near the village of Tsyr. Near its source, the Tsyr is protected by a hydrological reserve: here the water is clean, and the banks are overgrown with coniferous forest.

What it is like

The length of the Tsyr is 57 kilometers, and its basin area exceeds five hundred square kilometers. The valley is indistinct, the floodplain is marshy, and the riverbed is mostly straightened: the river is used as a water receiver for a drainage system. Northwest of the village of Lakhvychi, the Tsyr flows into the Prypiat.

Tsyr Reserve

The most beautiful section is near the source, within the Tsyr hydrological reserve. Here the water is transparent, the natural riverbed is winding, fallen trees line the banks, and there is a coniferous forest where wood anemones bloom in spring.

Fishing

The Tsyr is small and mostly canalized, so fishing takes place in the open water areas in Kamin-Kashyrskyi and closer to the old channel of the Prypiat. General fishing regulations apply.
