Radozhychi is a glacial lake near the village of Hirnyky in the Ratne region. It is small, but very deep: with an average depth of three and a half meters, it features a depression of up to 28 meters. Since 1996, the lake and its shores have formed the "Lake Radozhychi" hydrological reserve.
What it is like
The area of the lake is 89 hectares, and the reserve covers nearly 110. The shores are low and sandy, with the southern one being marshy. The bottom is covered with a layer of sapropel over two meters thick. Around it are forb and sedge meadows and pine forests with blueberries.

Birds
The reserve is a nesting ground for the mute swan, Eurasian coot, mallard, northern pintail, northern shoveler, teals, common snipes, Eurasian oystercatcher, sandpipers, and other waterfowl and wetland birds. Thus, Radozhychi is a great place for birdwatching.

Fishing
Radozhychi is rich in fish: eel, bream, carp, weatherfish, perch, pike, tench, roach, and crucian carp can be found here. The shores are sandy and low, convenient for shore fishing, while large bream and carp are sought closer to the deep depression. General fishing regulations apply.
