Sumy fisherman Artem Boroday shared a new report on autumn predatory fish angling. This time, he and his companions headed to the lower section of the Psel River within the Sumy region. They managed to catch several pikes using spinning rods, while Artem's friends showed the best result among the participants of the fishing trip.

According to the fisherman, this part of the Psel impressed him with its clear water, fast current, and abundance of fish. He started the fishing trip successfully: using a Select Jerkid jerkbait, he caught a pike weighing about 1.5 kg. However, due to his own carelessness, the fish broke free along with the stringer. This mishap, as Artem confessed, affected his mood until the end of the outing.

After that, he managed to catch three more small pikes weighing up to 700 grams. He tempted them using twitching with a Mag Squad 128 wobbler.

The fisherman's companions had a better result this time, catching about eight pikes each. These were mostly small specimens weighing around half a kilo, but larger ones ranging from 1.2 to 1.5 kg were also encountered.

Dima had good results with Naginata wobblers for twitching and the Select Plitka in the "loch" color. Romchyk distinguished himself with the Jackall Blast Bone, Select Buzzer in the "los" color, and the same Plitka.

Autumn pike fishing on the Psel River

Autumn is an interesting period for predatory fish angling. As the water temperature drops, the behavior of the fish changes, while the pike continues to hunt actively. At this time, spinning anglers look for promising areas near aquatic vegetation, at depth drops, and close to the current.

Various lures—wobblers, jerkbaits, and other artificial prey imitations—are used for such fishing. The choice depends on the conditions on the body of water and the activity of the predator. Artem Boroday's report clearly shows that this time the fishermen experimented with various lures: from a large jerkbait to twitching wobblers.

The Psel in the Sumy region is interesting for spinning fishing due to its diverse sections with different characteristics. On the lower part of the river where the fishermen visited, the water was clear and the current was fast. Such conditions add dynamism to the fishing and require carefully selecting the location and the method of lure presentation.

Despite the unfortunate loss of the first pike, the outing turned out to be productive. Artem Boroday shared a video from the fishing trip on his YouTube channel and invited everyone interested to watch how the autumn day on the Psel went.
