The Zhytomyr region came under another Russian attack overnight. From the evening of September 28 to the morning of September 29, Russian forces carried out around 10 strikes against civilian infrastructure in the region.
The attacks affected Zhytomyr, Korosten, Zviahel and Ovruch.

According to Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration head Vitalii Bunechko, Russian strikes damaged transport infrastructure, fuel infrastructure and civilian businesses in different parts of the region.
Fires broke out at several sites following the strikes and falling debris. Emergency crews from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and other specialized services worked at the affected locations, extinguishing fires and dealing with the aftermath of the attacks.
There were no reports of deaths or injuries, according to preliminary information.
Authorities continue to assess the damage caused by the overnight attacks. Residents of the region are urged to take air-raid warnings seriously and remain in shelters or other safe places until the all-clear is given.
