Myslovychi is a hydrological nature reserve with an area of 52 hectares, located west of the village of Santarka in Korosten district, within the Omelianivka forestry. It has been protected since 1982.
Bog and Forest
The reserve preserves a lowland moss-sphagnum bog with sedges and grasses. Surrounding it are birch groves and birch-pine forests with bilberries, lingonberries, and diverse grasses.

Sphagnum mosses absorb water like a sponge, so the bog regulates the surrounding groundwater level and softens the microclimate. Marsh and waterfowl birds nest here, and more than ten species of reptiles and amphibians live here.
Tip
It is most pleasant to walk along the edge of the bog in summer, when lingonberries and bilberries ripen. Bring tick and mosquito repellents, and do not venture onto the bog itself.
